Get the work

Stop guessing what to charge

You quoted $50 for a video because you felt new, and that number is now the client's reference price forever.

UGC pricing has three parts: what you're making, who's making it, and what the brand is allowed to do with it. The third is where most of the money is, and it's the part beginners give away.

The calculator keeps them separate so you can see exactly which part of the number you're negotiating over — and so a request for 12-month paid rights stops being a free upgrade.

What it does

Deliverable-based pricing

Photos, short-form video, long-form, photo sets, and mixed bundles with a bundle discount applied automatically.

Usage rights as an explicit uplift

Organic, paid for a defined term, whitelisting, broadcast, and perpetual buyout — each priced as a percentage on top rather than absorbed silently.

Constraint fees

Exclusivity, rush turnaround, and revision rounds beyond the first, because each one is you giving something up.

Saved presets

Save the combinations you quote often and reload them in a click.

Push to your rate card

Send a calculated price straight onto your rate card, where it prefills deals, invoices, and your media kit. The server recomputes from your inputs, so the number saved is always the number shown.

How it works

  1. 1Pick the deliverable and your reach.
  2. 2Set the usage rights the brand actually wants — ask before you quote.
  3. 3Add exclusivity, rush, or extra revisions if they apply.
  4. 4Save it as a preset or push it to your rate card.

Questions

How much extra should I charge for usage rights?

As a working structure: organic-only in your base rate, paid ads for 30 days at roughly base plus 25%, 90 days at plus 50%, and 12 months at roughly double. Perpetual buyouts should be a multiple, because they end all renewal revenue.

Can I use the calculator without an account?

Yes — the free version needs no signup and uses the identical formula. An account adds saved presets and pushes results to your rate card.

Are the numbers a guaranteed market rate?

No. They're a defensible starting point built from deliverable effort and licence value. Adjust for your category, market, and the value the brand is getting.
