Free UGC rate calculator
The number most beginners get wrong isn't the base rate — it's the licence. Set the usage rights below and watch what the same video is actually worth.
Matters less than you think for pure UGC — the brand posts it, not you.
Ask this before you quote. It is the highest-earning question in UGC.
One round included. Each extra adds 10%.

A starting point, not a quote. Adjust for your category, market, and the value the brand is getting — and never quote before you know the intended usage.

How the pricing works
Every quote is three things stacked: what you're making, who's making it, and what they're allowed to do with it. The calculator keeps them separate so you can see which part of the number you're negotiating over.
- The deliverable — Base rate reflects production effort — shoot time, edit complexity, how much of your day it consumes.
- Your reach — A multiplier, not the main driver. For pure UGC the brand posts the content, so a small following costs you far less than beginners assume.
- The licence — The uplift that most creators give away. Organic-only is included in base; paid-ad rights, whitelisting, and long terms are worth multiples of it.
- The constraints — Exclusivity means turning down competitors. Rush means displacing other work. Extra revision rounds mean an open-ended commitment. All three get priced.

Questions
How does this UGC rate calculator work?
It starts from a base rate for the deliverable type, applies a multiplier for your follower tier and engagement, then adds explicit uplifts for usage rights, exclusivity, extra revision rounds, and rush turnaround. The result is a starting point for a quote, not a fixed market price.
Why do usage rights change the price so much?
A brand that runs your video as a paid advertisement for a year is buying a fundamentally more valuable product than one that posts it organically once. Pricing the licence as an explicit add-on is how creators capture that value instead of giving it away.
Is the calculator free?
Yes — no account, no email, and nothing is stored. A free sproutUGC account adds saved presets and pushes a calculated rate straight onto your rate card and media kit.
Should I quote the exact number it gives me?
Treat it as a defensible starting point and adjust for your category, market, and the value the brand is getting. The most important habit it encourages is asking what the intended usage is before you quote anything.
